Full Length Books: We will read poetry submissions 40-80 pages in length.
Chapbooks: We will read poetry submissions up to 20 pages in length.
The Louisiana Series of Cajun and Creole Poetry / La Série de Louisiane de Poésie des Acadiens et Créoles was founded to highlight work done by exceptional poets of Franco-American descent. Yellow Flag Press is proud to publish new work by poets of Cajun, Creole, or French heritage, writing in French, Cajun-French, English, or works in translation.
We seek chapbook length works of 20-25 pages. We read for this series year-round, and hope to publish one exceptional book in this series per year. Submissions for the Louisiana Series are always free.
Our free Open Reading period is open to poetry full-length, chapbook, and broadside submissions.
Yellow Flag Press publishes one collection of short fiction per year (beginning in Spring 2017) under the banner of The Cypress & Pine Fiction Series.
Each submission will receive a discounted copy of the collection selected as the first in The Cypress & Pine Fiction Series.
