Erica McCreedy
Biography
Erica McCreedy is a native of Lake Charles, LA and received a BA in English from LSU. In 2009 she was awarded two Masters degrees in English and Creative Writing from McNeese State University's MFA program under Amy Fleury and Morri Creech. She was awarded the Joy Scantlebury Poetry Prize in 2006 and 2007 and has co-presented the annual Vision/Verse Art & Poetry Exhibition in Lake Charles since 2009. Her poetry has appeared in Louisiana Literature and in several limited edition broadsides through Yellow Flag Press. Her first poetry chapbook, Red Winters, was released in 2013 by Yellow Flag Press.
