David Havird

 

 

Biography

 

David Havird grew up in Columbia, SC.  He holds a doctorate in English from the University of Virginia and teaches at Centenary College of Louisiana.  Recent poems of his have appeared in Agni, Sewanee Review, and Yale Review.  His chapbook, Penelope's Design (2010), won the 2009 Robert Phillips Poetry Chapbook Prize.  A full-length collection, Map Home, was published by Texas Review Press in 2013.
